The mission of Maintaining My Recovery with Cannabis (MMRC) is to develop a recovery support community of people who use cannabis as a form of harm-reduction therapy from dangerous/addictive substances. We provide support through personal experiences, educational resources and peer support programs, while upholding a culture of inclusiveness and mutual respect.

Maintaining My Recovery with Cannabis (MMRC) is a supportive community of people who are using cannabis to replace or reduce their usage of dangerous and addictive substances. This method of treatment is commonly called “marijuana maintenance” or “cannabis substitution.” This treatment is also known as medication-assisted-therapy (MAT), a form of harm-reduction.

We are an all-inclusive and non-judgemental community that allows all types of positive recovery methods. Our goal is to remain a supportive structure that cultivates acceptance, encourages healthy behaviors, and reduces stigma surrounding cannabis use.

MMRC is not an official program and does not follow a specific treatment plan. We simply are people who use cannabis as an aide in our recovery journeys. We include a diverse group with a variety of approaches to recovery. Examples of other programs used in conjunction with MMRC or “cannabis substitution” are Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, HAMS: Harm Reduction for Alcohol, SMART Recovery, Moderation Management, Refuge Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, medication-assisted-treatment plans, personalized recoveries, and many other pathways to recovery.
